The Real Australia – Port Lincoln

Just because it takes about 7 hours to reach Port Lincoln from the capital of the state of South Australia does not mean that it is the outback. No, the city has everything you may need, as these photos attest.

And if you know the right people, you can get the best food for free.

I did do some baby-sitting, but it’s mostly because I love playing with big Legos.

I realized too late that I didn’t take any photo of Mario’s garden, or the pigs and chickens. Our usual stir-fries had an amazing taste with all the fresh vegetables and eggs. No, we didn’t eat the pigs because Marios is also a fisherman.

Then you have to drive another 7 hours back to Adelaide… but the landscapes are still amazing for a little Swiss Miss who grew up between mountains.
