The Real Australia – Coffin Bay

On a beautiful Saturday morning, I recommend a trip to Coffin Bay.

Climb up sand dunes with warm white sand and enjoy the Great Australia Bight and its beautiful views.

Make sure to wear sun screen!

It starts with a slow walk on the beach.

Collecting baby cockles… but putting them back to grow bigger.

Looking at your feet in the crystal clear water.

Or at the wildlife.

I was fascinated by the range of shells.

And other stuff on the ground. In my defence, I am country girl…

So nice and flat.

Or is it?

But as you climb up the sand dunes, you get an even better view.

See the ute? That shows how high we were!

The thing is though, there are always higher dunes to climb on the left…

… and on the right!

The best thing of course is to roll down the dunes!

And afterwards you can enjoy a delicious oyster pie at the Beachcomber’s! Yes, I had fries with that.

And we saw emus, big and small along the road! Yes, babies… emu chicks?

I forgot to take a photo of the dozen fresh oysters we got and shared later on with Maria and Anthony.

So delicious!
